This year I had the honor of being one of the visual artists for the Califa Arts Collaborative. I really love dance, and it was great to have my photography be part of the dancing. I worked with the choreographer Jen Hart, who came up with the concept: “Seven Stories”, a story about journeys. I photographed the dancers either just being in the moment and present, or dancing out a gesture that they think represent themselves. The photographs become the backdrop of the dancing.

The next two photos were taken by the wonderful Tony Spielberg, with the actual dancers dancing in front of my photos. Makes me so happy to see these. Thanks Tony!
